My name is Joseph Jackson and I live in Prince Georges County Maryland. I have been illustrating and painting since I enrolled in vocational high school. Growing up in southwest Pennsylvania I moved to Maryland in 1979 and started my career as a draftsman with the state highway department then on to a Navy Architecture Marine Engineering company.
While working as a drafter/designer I attended the University of District of Columbia and University of Maryland got my associates degree 1984. After graduating I start freelance and contract work with many companies that include: IBM, CSC, C3, Scientific Computer System Corporation, Macys, WOL radio, US Security Assistance Command, Safeway Foods, Townhouse Carpet Inc. My work has traveled the metro Washington area and many foreign countries in the forms of outstanding designs, illustrations and photography. I am also the main illustrator /photographer at First Baptist Church of Suitland where for 7 years I have produced I am also a artist/painter, and my work has been exhibited in many art shows and contests. I have received many prizes and cash awards for my work.
